Chennai: Tamil Nadu government on Thursday announced new restrictions including banning religious events and 50% theatre capacity to control the spread of the infection in the state. The active cases in Tamilnadu have increased to 27,743 on Wednesday.
Major Restrictions Announced:
Ban on religious gatherings and events from 10 April.
No retail sale of items at Koyambedu market from 10 April.
Shops in the state are not allowed to function after 11 PM.
50 percent capacity allowed in recreational clubs, entertainment parks, etc.
Theatres in the state can allow only 50 percent occupancy.
Passengers will not be allowed to stand and travel in government and private buses.
